Integration X Platform (iXp)
Enterprise Integration
iXp includes Enterprise Integration Tools called
ToolBoxiXp. Developed using the J2EE framework,
ToolBoxiXp enables customers to achieve loosely coupled integration
with third party applications facilitated by a SOA utilizing SOAP, XML, WSDL and Web Services.
ToolBoxiXp includes a repository of traditional integration software
developed by Daffron, MultiSpeak versions 1.0 and 3.0 (Web Services) and leading edge integration tools.
ToolBoxiXp is the integration solution between our
Daffron Software Suites (CISiXp,
FMSiXp and
MMSiXp) and our 3rd party AMR, GIS, IVR, Outage, and Staking vendors.
Daffron products, such as GISiXp,
Interactive Voice ResponseiXp,
Incident Management SystemiXp, and
WinStakeiXp are also integrated via
ToolboxiXp.
Technology
ToolBoxiXp uses Web Services to communicate between systems. It runs
on an application server (Apache Tomcat or IBM WebSphere). The application server receives and sends HTTP messages similar to a web server. However,
the message body is descriptive XML as opposed to HTML. Each XML request is handled and processed through
ToolBoxiXp.
ToolBoxiXp will send a resulting response (also in XML) back to the
caller. In some cases, the 3rd party application is the host and
ToolBoxiXp is the caller.
