WinStake
Historically, utilities have relied on a manual process for staking and processing work orders, which is very inefficient and prone to error.  Today, market pressures to streamline operations are causing utilities to seek solutions that automate workflow.

In response, Daffron developed WinStake to drive work order automation, creating front-end digital data sources for CIS, GIS, and other back-end systems. Stakers, using handheld PDAs,  perform design work in the field, sketching from scratch or directly on top of an imported background map.  Access to assembly units and drawings make design work fast and efficient, and PDA integration technology enables seamless GPS data acquisition.  Once design is completed, downstream systems are automatically updated, completing a large portion of the back-office work order process.

WinStake enables utilities to decrease operating costs, increase productivity, improve customer service, and enhance communication of important work order information throughout the utility.  Typical payback periods range from 8 to 18 months.  Most importantly, it is easy to use!  Staking Engineers are excited that WinStake includes an electronic version of the handwritten staking sheet they know and love.  It's easy to understand because WinStake automates what is currently done manually.
